That's the norm for real estate logos, but you should be careful not to end up with something that will disappear into a sea of similar house logos. In Real Estate Logo Design the trick is to find a logo that is immediately recognizable as "Real Estate", but that is also unique enough to rise above the noise. If you're in a specialty field within the real estate industry (for example property investment), then you ideally want that to also be apparent in the design.

You should put some thought into the main elements of your logo design before placing your order. Decide which colors are right for you. Look at some examples of real estate logos and decide what kind of style you are interested in.

On a practical level, think about the different applications where your logo will need to function. It needs to look good on your business card, but it also needs to be highly visible on your yard signs. Where else will the logo be used? Will it need to work on different color backgrounds?
